PRUEBA HIDROSTÁTICA DE BAJA Y ALTA PRESIÓN. Para el servicio de extintores de baja presión, esta prueba está condicionada a los cilindros que contienen Polvo Químico Seco, Agua, Agentes Halogenados, Acetato de Potasio, Espumas. ... Este método consiste en vaciar el extintor y llenarlo de agua. Los extintores tienen una vida útil de 20 años. A lo largo de esta vida útil, cada 5 años deben someterse a la prueba del re timbrado. ... Esta prueba es el timbrado y debe figurar en el envase del extintor, marcado normalmente con las siglas Ph de prueba hidráulica. Esta prueba sirve para los primeros 5 años. Según NFPA 10 y NTC 2885 (3.3.19 Prueba Hidrostática. Prueba de presión del extintor para verificar su resistencia a una rotura indeseable) La Prueba Hidrostática es el procedimiento a través del cual podemos determinar si el cilindro posee fugas, defectos o si está en perfectas condiciones para ser recargado. Durante una prueba hidrostática, se examina el cilindro para garantizar que puede contener de forma segura la presión para la que está aprobado.
OBEJETIVOS
Para el servicio de extintores de alta presión, esta prueba está condicionada a los cilindros para Gas Carbónico y Nitrógeno. Todo extintor o botella impulsora que sirva para contener alguno de estos dos gases debe ser sometido a una prueba hidrostática, con una frecuencia variable de acuerdo con el tipo de extintor, sea este de acero, aluminio, o alguna variación y/o aleación de estos. El método a usar, será el de expansión volumétrica de envoltura de agua. Este método consiste en vaciar el extintor y llenarlo de agua. El extintor se sitúa entonces en un depósito de agua y se le presuriza a su presión de prueba indicada en el extintor, así conseguimos dilatar el casco del extintor y verificar su expansión volumétrica. Duración de la prueba: La duración de la prueba de presión hidrostática sostenida, debe ser de 4 horas. Tolerancia de la prueba: Durante el tiempo de la prueba de presión, se requiere que el ingeniero evalúe la cantidad de agua que se agrega al equipo para mantener la presión de prueba (Pp) con una variación de ±750psi
